Thanks Jesse.  The prices of the birds range from $50 to $400 per bird.  Prices will depend on age, looks, genealogy, and crow quality.

Na,

The pheasantry no longer raises pheasants or junglefowls, hence I was able to get the breeding trio.  The used to raise several types of pheasants and are not only concentrating on fancy pigeons.

Na,

The crow is dependent on both parents.  A good crowing rooster will have low chances of producing good crowing offspring if the hen does not come from a line that produces good crows and likewise if a hen comes from a good crowing line and the males do not.  Unfortunately when breeding for crows, there is not a magic formula that I use.  I just  breed the purer Southeast Asian lines in the U.S. together as the higher percentage birds are going to have higher chances of producing good crows (closer to wild birds, closer to crowing like wild birds).  From there, once you've bred a particular male or female, you can gauge if they are passing the gene of good crowing done and narrow it from there.  I have pairs of females that are sisters and their offspring certainly have different crows, even when bred to the same male.  So, one would have to get good birds to start with and narrow it down with trial and error.

hey kong if ur breeding for crow quality, what do you look for? does the crow depend on the father or the mother?

Na,

All my Richardsons were bought for $100-$150 per bird.  That's what the Richardson breeders sell them for, which I think is a very fair price.

Tou Yang- I'm glad you like my birds.  I do become friends with the majority of people that have purchased from me.  I will have birds available in April and May.  The best way to get birds is to reserved them on my Breedings page.

Tong Po-  Chicks from that breeding will begin hatching on the 16th of this month.  I will let you know of their progress.

Na- Which Indian rooster are you referring to?  Richardson from Villagrana, Richardson from Adam, Laos/Indian stag?  The Richardson from Villagrana young offspring available in April-May.  The Richardson from Adam has produced a few eggs only and may not have some offspring ready for sale for a while.  The Laos/Indian stag has 8 to 10 eggs from two different females right now.  I will incubate them to see how they turn out.
