Kong's Red Junglefowls

Ideal Specimens

The birds pictured were photographed in the wild and embody the true qualities of pure red jungle fowl.  Like many living creatures, there is a natural variation among red jungle fowls as they come in a wide assortment of shapes, sizes, and shades of colors.  We respect this phenomenon and believe that all red jungle fowls are unique and beautiful in their own ways.  Provided are the finest photographs of birds we consider to be exemplary models of pure red jungle fowls.

For more detailed information on how to identify a pure red jungle fowl based on phenotype characteristics, visit the MSN Red Jungle Fowl's Ideal Examples page and/or The Red Jungle Fowl of Peninsular Malaysia site.
